Support
Inspect one photo and, where supported, create a cleaned copy to save or share. Choose the Android or iOS guide below for the current implementation.

Android questions
How do I use the Android app?
Select one photo or file, inspect the information, and clean it if the app confirms support. Review the preview and retained information, then choose Save or Share. The result starts unsaved; keeping the original is the default. For one in-app gallery photo on Android 11 or later, a saved and reopened copy can enable “Move original to trash”. You must choose it and approve the Android system confirmation. Files, shared photos, system picker inputs, batch results and unsupported environments keep the original. Removal may also affect cloud backups through your sync service; check that service first. Trash retention and restoration vary, and the system may empty its trash.
Why is cleaning unavailable?
Cleaning requires preservation checks for each file. Supported static JPEG, PNG and WebP files may be cleaned; HEIC, HDR and unverified representations can be refused. Motion-photo conversion needs separate agreement for that photo. Available memory and the current device’s output verification also matter. A blocked result is not proof that the original has no metadata.
Does cleaning make a photo anonymous?
No. It removes only supported metadata and can retain display information. Faces, objects, text and location clues visible in the image remain. A cloud provider or receiving app can also keep its own information and copies.
What if saving fails or sharing does not finish?
Follow the app’s retry or manual-cleanup notice. A provider may leave an incomplete file if it refuses deletion. Verify the destination before sharing it further. Opening the share sheet only prepares a share; check the receiving app for delivery. An unsaved result may be lost when the process ends, so select the original again.
Can I use photo features without measurements?
Yes. In the live build, saved choices take priority. Without one, the app asks first for EEA, UK, Swiss or associated-territory signals in its policy, or an unknown region; otherwise it defaults both on. You can turn each off in Settings. The demo has no Firebase services. Android Usage statistics controls Analytics; Error and performance diagnostics controls Crashlytics and Performance. Even with both options off, Android Firebase installation and service-configuration requests can continue. See the privacy policy for these requests, withdrawal, restart, earlier queues and deletion limits.
Using the iOS app
How do I inspect and clean a photo on iOS?
Open the in-app photo picker, choose allowed photo access, filter by format and select up to 50 photos in order. You can use the system picker without library access, or choose a file. One photo opens the existing inspection and individual removal controls. Multiple photos use confirmed, sequential removal of known descriptive metadata and show each result. Completed copies start unsaved; use Save all unsaved copies to add them to Photos. Originals are preserved. Closing the session or restarting can discard unsaved results.
Which permissions and formats does iOS support?
In-app browsing asks for Photos library access, including the option to allow selected photos only. Change allowed photos in the picker or access in Settings. The system picker works without that browsing permission. Supported static JPEG, PNG and WebP are checked individually; HEIC/HEIF, Live Photos, HDR and unsupported structures can be refused. Format badges are guidance only. An edited full-size photo is preferred where uniquely available, and changed or ambiguous resources are refused. iCloud downloads occur for confirmed selections; offline or cancelled downloads can fail separately.
What if Photos saving or sharing fails?
Check the permission or failure notice and storage, then retry while the verified copy remains available. Batch Save skips copies already marked saved in the current session. Cancelling a batch save waits for the already-started photo before stopping. Verify the new asset or receiving app file before sharing further. Restarting or confirming a new selection can discard unsaved results. Originals remain unchanged, and the app cannot undo a save that has already started.
How are the iOS collection choices grouped?
Usage and performance controls Analytics and Performance together. Crash diagnostics controls Crashlytics separately. Saved choices take priority; without one, region signals determine whether the app asks first or defaults collection on. You can turn it off in Settings and keep photo features. Allowing diagnostics during a session takes effect after restarting. A normal background transition preserves choices for the next launch; interrupted sessions or storage recovery ask again. An enabled diagnostics session can request sending eligible earlier reports. Withdrawal does not recall data already sent or guarantee cancellation of queued requests. Read the iOS privacy policy for your choices and their limits.
Where can I download the iOS app?
The app is being prepared for internal TestFlight distribution. There is no public App Store download link or confirmed release date yet.
